Books: Lost in a Good Book and The Well of Lost Plots by Jasper Fforde
The second and third book of the Thursday Next series. I read The Eyre Affair [the first book in the series] in London and loved it. These two books were good as well. They contain many allusions to classic novels. They are a nerdy English majors idea of a funny, inside-joke-filled series.

July Book #2
Book: The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
I read this a long time ago and loved it. This time I was much less impressed by it. All around the characters are pretty one-dimensional. But it DOES explain the story in a much more satisfactory way than the musical. Slow in parts, but still worth reading.

July Book #1
Book: Princess Academy by Shannon Hale
Very good fairy tale. Same author as The Goose Girl and Enna Burning. Characters are likable and well-written with unique names. A good book to give as a gift or suggest for someone to read. Romantic. Girly.
