Intriguing and well-done, but entirely lacking in romance of any kind. Made me miss London and wish, once again, that I lived there.

A YA version of The Wood Wife; I enjoyed it and will search out Snyder's other books.

Book: Forest Born by Shannon Hale

An excellent edition to the Bayern series. And MUCH better than River Secrets.

Book: Beast by Donna Jo Napoli

My least favorite of her books, by far. The first 3/4 were boring, but the last quarter was beautiful and amazing and well-done.

Book: The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin

I read this because it's Julie's favorite book. It was good and interesting, but took me some time to get involved in the story. Now that I know what to expect I want to read it again.

Book: Snow by Tracy Lynn

Very good. I love all the books in the "Once Upon a Time" series so far. It was probably the most interesting Snow White re-telling I've ever read.
